Chie Mihara Anoushka Pump & update of patterned dresses

My first pair of pumps from Chie Mihara arrived today! The color (tan/cognac) is richer than what I expected (or that shown on Amazon website), but still pretty. It is true to size, with a slightly narrow forefoot (just slightly, and I will stretch the right one for 48 hours before wear them out). Another pair of mary jane from Chie Mihara is also on my wish list, and hopefully the price will drop soon.

Pairing the new pump with my M Missoni jersey dress. I haven’t found a good black skinny belt yet, so use the nude one instead.

 vs.

When I searched skinny belts, I found these two (JCrew at left, and Gucci at right) and tried both in store. I am not denying that Gucci is more elegant (with hardware) and has good quality. However, $45 vs. $395, which one are you going to buy? Besides the price, Gucci runs larger! I tried Gucci xs (75cm), and it was about one inch larger for me. JCrew xs fits perfectly……..

Pairing my H&M houndstooth dress with black belt, bag and pumps. The dress is a little bit short when belted up, so I would not wear high heels (if you don’t want a very sexy look :)). Salvatore Ferragamo Vara black pumps with 1.5” stacked heel are my #1 choice. To be honest with you, SF Vara pumps are even more comfortable than their flats! I used to wear them walking in NYC for a whole day (just FYI, I always send my SF shoes to shoe repairs for rubber soles.). I never tried SF Vara in patent leather, regular ones are super soft and comfortable.

Compared to black accessories and shoes, pink SF flats add some fun to this dress. The combination of pink shoes, watch and dress gives a very sweet and girly look. However, this pairing is a little bit childish (for office). I would like to pair H&M black/white dress with a pair of black or white flats (this dress is not that short if you don’t belt).

Before I close, share one picture of Burberry oversized blouse with you. It is cotton and silk blended, and semi-sheer. Any good suggestions for this pretty piece, dear readers? It is not that easy to take good pictures for this piece at home, so after I figure out how to match it, I am going to shoot some pictures during the weekend. — ok, now I am going to take care of my horrible jet lag……

Great idea on the stacked heel pumps for the H&M dress. I now have a good excuse to buy a new pair of SF shoes as I currently don't have any low heel pumps. -:)Lin
