Navy & Tan: Boiled Wool Draped Sweater Coat from Anthropologie

After a short escape from rainy and cold fall weather (in NOLA), I am back to Boston.
Though I am in Boston now, I am still thinking of the food and scenes in French Quarter…… To satisfy my “French fantasy”, I picked this draped sweater coat in the morning. The color of this sweater coat is beautiful soft navy (no purple hue, not too hard). It is made with thick boiled wool (without lining), but not stiff at all. I choose my normal coat size (for your reference, I am 5’4, 109.5 lb; wearing xs), which is slightly roomy at the upper arm.  However, for a coat, I expect some room left to layer a thin sweater underneath. There are two different ways to wear this sweater coat: snap all the way up to show the raffled edge (as I did), or leave buttons open to show draped front. One thing I need mention is the fit. It is pretty narrow around the hip area, which might not fit the girls with a very curvy figure.
Overall, I love this sweater coat, and I would like to wear it as a coat now and an indoor piece later in the winter.
Last week, my dear friend Michelle got this gorgeous Celine mini luggage from New York Barneys (Boston store, in Copley, $2400). She mentioned that the size of this mini luggage could be slightly different from mine (2011 version). I am looking forward to seeing how she styles up with this new bag!
Thank you for your reading, and have a good weekend!
