Anthropologie Ganni Green dress & Floral scarf and wedge

This green Ganni dress one me is part of the spring collection from Anthropologie.  I am very fond of this type of  fabric  – thick cotton with elastane – since  it is comfortable and easy to care  (no dry clean is needed and it will never get wrinkled).   In the Ganni’s Fall collection, there are one dress and two tops were made in the same fabric. All of these are extremely adorable.  I especially like the Peplum Ponte Tank, and I highly recommend it.  You can click on the link and see if it is your cup of tea.

The bright floral scarf was from J Crew.  I bought it because  it matches well with so many of my clothes/collections.  It adds colors to any outfit. It is simply splendid in spring and summer time.  It might be a little too “cheerful” for autumn and winter, but again, it depends on personal taste.

Well, It’s Saturday again, I wish everyone have a relaxed weekend, and enjoy the activities in cool breeze and outdoor concerts on green lawns in the late summer.

Earthbound Organics (a British local brand)  eye cream repair & rejuvenate  (15ml, $24) and Earthbound Organics blueberry and vitamin C eye gel (15ml, $24). Earthbound Organics ships to US now! Michelle placed an order last month and sent me a full size EYE GEL (so sweet~~~). I have been using the gel for an entire week, under makeup and for bed time. It functions as well as my LP eye cream ($310…..), keeping my under eye area moisturized & well pumped throughout the day (it is a little bit sticky at the very beginning, but gets absorbed just in a minute!). From other ppl’s review (see here, from a Chinese makeup artist), the eye cream could be too rich for me, at least at summer time. What is your feeling, Michelle? I will alternate my LP skin caviar luxe eye cream and Earthbound Organics eye gel from now~

Amanda introduced Co.Bigelow rose water to me many years ago, and then I passed secrete to Michelle. When I stayed at Michelle’s early this May, she gave me 2 bottles toner: Co.Bigelow Vitamin Boost Alcohol-free toner (green bottle, $12, 186ml) and Co.Bigelow Dr.Galen Herbal skin tonic (blue bottle, $12, 186ml). From then on, these two toners are my HG products! I use Dr.Galen Herbal toner on T-zone, where I easily breakout in summer time –especially this year; then spray the vitamin boost toner all over the face and neck. In super hot days, I just leave my face clean after the vitamin toner! Personally, I like these two more than Sisley toners! (combination skin type, and very sensitive)

Alexander Essentials Real Rose Gel (30ml, $13). I purchased from ebay (this seller provides prompt shipping, and products are fresh- expire on 2014).  It is also a British local brand. I use this gel as summer time moisturizer (face and eye), or serum in other seasons. I also mixed this gel with foundation to improve the moisturizing effect. It smells very pleasant, if you love rose 🙂

Whenever I planned a 10k, there were some excuses stopped me in the between! This morning, my little boy got fuzzy when I finished 8k… so my goal failed again. To “punish” him, let him take me a picture!

Dear fabby readers, I hope all of you have a great weekend so far! The crazy color run will go down to Boston next Saturday, the day after 2012 Olympic games opening ceremony! I cross my fingers that it is not too hot that day, and will definitely share “crazy” pictures! — btw, to prepare for it, I run 3 times/wk now.

Zara has sale ongoing now, with a second price cut! The peachy blazer (shown by Wendy, and here) is also on sale 50% off the original price! I took one home but haven’t decided to keep it.

Salvatore Ferragamo shoes are on sale at http://www.6pm.com today.

Nordstrom starts their anniversary sale from today, and the price will go back on Aug. 6th.

Madewell has extra 30% off sale items.

Anthropologie silk dress

Unfortunately, we did not make the whale watch today. It is too hot (>94F), and very windy~ Instead, we went to Boston Public Garden (visiting swans!)and Quincy market.

I could not describe how much I love this city, especially when I walk along NEWBURY street. Many fashion boutiques, cool bars and nice restaurants are there, waiting to be explored 🙂 .

Also, the diversity of the architecture in Boston, from old traditions (considering that Boston is founded at 1630) to new ideas…

And, Boston is so family friendly!

By the way, Neiman Marcus has a deeper sale now, extra 40% off sale items (contemporary dept. only). Happy shopping and enjoy weekend!

Boho-chic Anthropologie white shirt

Amanda sourced this Anthropologie (odille) white blouse from Columbus, OH (sale @ $9.99) and sent to me last week. It is made with thick cotton (not sheer at all) and has a red bee embroidered on one sleeve cuff!

I am not a big fan of boho-chic clothes, but I do like to try some on, just for fun :-). For tall girls, it might be fun to wear this blouse with a red maxi skirt. For me, it will be safe to pair with shorts. Red sandals match the “red bee”.

J Crew cherry print sweater & Thai cuisine

Happy Friday everyone! Friday used to be my favorite day in a week, but is not anymore now: I am a HAPPY stay home mom now! I have a FULL plan for the next two months: short trips to NYC, vacation @ TX and a long trip to China…

All my shoes are still buried somewhere. I can see them, but can’t reach them before I unpack other huge boxes. A pair of pumps will certainly brighten up the whole outfit. I will restyle this outfit later.

This JCrew cherry print sweater has exactly same fit & texture as the leopard print one (see here). It is 100% merino wool, with 3 quarter sleeves. I am attracted by those cute cherries 🙂

M Missoni jersey print dress: last day in Cleveland

Today is our last day in Cleveland! We are excited to start a new life in Boston, and we will also miss our dear friends here in Cleveland! We hang out with our friends every evening these days, and thank you all so much for the nice dinners and wishes!

It is actually the first time I wore this M Missoni jersey dress out since I bought it in San Diego. It is an easy dress, and almost wrinkle free! It doesn’t come with a belt, but I like to belt it to make myself look taller 🙂

Have a nice weekend everyone, and talk to you in Boston!

All about lace: Anthropologie Youghal Crops lace pants

I find that many pretty clothes from Anthropologie are actually very hard to put on; however, once a while I have some surprise from Anthropologie! Their SA told me today that they received shipment everyday, and had clothes marked down almost every week (usually Tuesday, but it may vary in different stores). Does this sound like the sale style of Zara or H&M?

I have been keeping an eye on lace covered pants for several months, and eventually I found one (a big surprise) in Anthropologie this week. They are pink/or peach-like , with nude colored lining. The quality is also good. As other reviewers said, this pair was true to size (for your reference, I am 5’4”, 109lb now, and wear size 0). They are more like ankle length pants to me, rather than cropped pants — I am too short 😦

To match these lace covered pants, Amanda gave me her DIY-JCrew top! I am so blessed to have a girl friend with a similar style and figure nearby! I will miss you, Amanda!

By the way, our moving was almost done, and everything was loaded today! Nathan was the most excited one!

Black & Leopard : JCrew Teddie dress with Chanel scarf

“A spring storm struck the U.S. Northeast on Monday, dumping wet snow in western Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and western New York and bringing heavy rains to the Eastern Seaboard.”

Snow storm did not hit Cleveland this time, but it was windy and cold in the past two days. I mean, very strong wind! When I walked in the parking lot (unfortunately I parked on the roof floor), I was literally blowed away — a guy laughed at me and said “good to be fat now!”

But spring comes back today! I am still in the honeymoon with my leopard print calf hair pumps/wedges! Wear them with a black dress. I have to say these shoes are worth every single penny! They are comfy and go with many outfits!

Calf hair Leopard print pumps on sale @ Nordstrom: with fur vest & coated jeans

Halogen calf hair leopard pumps/wedges are on sale in Nordstrom @ $49.90 now (see here). Most of sizes ar still available online, and you may also find them in your local Nordstrom Rack. During the girls day out yesterday, each of us bought a pair. It is leather upper, lining and sole. Though it is made in China, the quality seems to be good and fits comfy. It runs slightly small, 1/4 to 1/2 size. I normally wear 6M, but this pair I buy 6 1/2 M . Wedge like heel is about 2” and fully coverd by calf hair. I own a pair of B Brain Atwood leopard print pumps with 4” heel, but I still take this pair home. I think this pair more like flats, which are made for walking!

I do a very safe match today, leopard print pumps + black coated jeans + brown (honey) colored lamb fur vest.  I can’t believe the temperature here drops back to 40F in later April. By the way, Saks fur salon participate their F&F event this year! Amanda bought a cropped fur jacket yesterday, and she got additional 20% off!
