JCrew Fair Isle sweater with biker leggings (and NM consolidation sale…)

J.Crew fair isle cashmere sweater (sale here)

As suggested by J.Crew catalog, I wore black pants with my new luxury green cashmere sweater today. Black apparently makes this sweater more stand out! After couple wears, I think this sweater worth every penny it asks for. It is way thicker than all other cashmere sweaters in my closet, and doesn’t get fuzz balls easily! You won’t regret having it if you live in a cold place, as me.

All Saints Ridley leggings (here)

When static electricity gets annoying (in dry winter days), I prefer heavy cotton leggings over nylon ones. My trusty cotton/modal leggings are made by AllSaints. The heavy cotton blend jersey gives great butt lift and thigh control. The paneled design is great with biker or riding boots. After dozens of wash, the color is still as new, and fitting doesn’t change. I wear UK6/US2 (for your reference, my jeans size is 25).

Vera Wang lavender label boots (great style here)
Burberry high gloss down coat

Neiman Marcus consolidation sale (in store only) started today. Most of sale items got a second or even third price cut, plus an additional 25% off~ However, all sales are final. I took home two sweaters.

1. Rag and Bone chunky sweater (available online here). It was $495, and is $129.75 (item number 96817312). I bought size small, which was slightly roomy. The red leather jeans I tried in the below picture is made by Joe’s (different color here), and is on sale around $200.

2. Vince boatneck sweater (online available here and here). It was $285, and is $128.25 (item number 822508027743).

There are Vince V-back cashmere sweater (I wore here) sale at $64 and Vince shrunken turtleneck sweater (same here, in olive and navy) sale at $78. A great selection of jeans are sale at a price around $50. In addition, I tried several shirts (DG, Ralph Lauren, etc.) and a Gucci wool dress (was $1400, is $362) on the premier designer sale rack. However, my size is not available… I should have not worked till 7 today.

Thank you for your reading and have a good weekend!

Rag and Bone Lisbeth Metallic Sweater in NYC

OUTFIT
Coat: Burberry down coat
Jeans: Citizen Humanit
Booties: Ash wedge sneakers
Scarf: Adrienne Landau fox fur scarf (great style and deal, here)
Bag: LV neverfull
We are in NYC, for Nathan’s birthday (today) and Christmas. Christmas is a great time to visit NYC, which explains all the crowds. The only thing you need prepare for is an outfit to keep yourself warm. My picks are a down coat, a fox fur scarf (a great style and deal, here) and wedge sneaks. What else could be better than burying the chin and ears in the super soft fur, when you walk in a chilling and windy winter day.

I quickly browsed Saks Fifth Avenue on the 5th Ave later this afternoon. An extra 40% off certain sale items and a second price cut in shoes seemed to make all Saks stores more crowded than before. I was attracted by a leather panel blazer, made by Cut25 (here, which is not available at saksfifthavenue.com).

It is size 2 (size 0 was sold out). It fits well, expect for the slightly long sleeves. The lamb leather is not super soft (it is thick!), but not stiff at all. It should be great with a white tee and with the collar standing upright. It was $850 and is on sale around $310. How do you think of this blazer? Should I keep it?
We normally stay at Hilton Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, which locates less than 20 minutes driving distance away from Manhattan. I like lying in bed, viewing Manhattan skyline. There is a shuttle nearby to Manhattan (port authority). We usually just pay $13 to drive into the city, and find a free parking spot nearby Columbia University (between 80 st and 116 st, along Riverside drive, where I lived before).
Thank you for your reading and merry Christmas!

AG jeans on sale @ Anthropologie (75% off)

I hope all of you had a great weekend so far!

It was very beautiful today, sunny and warm (close to 80F). Unfortunately I had to wear layers, keeping myself relatively comfortable during the infection with nasty cold virus…

Back to AG (jeans) deals! There is a second price cut on AG jeans @ anthropologie, which makes total 75% off! After Amanda introduced me AG stevie ankle (exclusive to Anthropologie) jeans, I have been keeping my eyes on them all the time. Petite girls all know how hard to find a pair of jeans! No mention of the cost of alteration, many jeans (those narrow at the knee, or have faded wash) actually can’t be easily shortened. AG stevie ankle jeans have a 28” inseam , which gives a perfectly neat look with flats or pumps. AG definitely takes account of the average of woman body shape: it is skinny but still super comfy and not that body hugging as most of JBrand jeans! This pair (AG Stevie ankle patchwork, the style number is 25150293. ) is currently on sale at $59.95. It is true to size (I wear my normal size 25). There are also regular AG Stevie ankle jeans available at Anthropologie at the full price, which I like better. However, at this sale price, I don’t mind having some fun with patchworks.

After drank many bottles of water, I felt much better at the end of the day. So I changed into the clothes that for 70F~ Thank my boys staying at the lab with me till 8pm at Saturday evening!

This pair is called AG  Crop Tomboy Cuffed, with 26”L (22”L with cuff), 7”rise and 7”hem. It is a great pair of relaxed fit jeans! I will take it with me for the upcoming New Orleans trip! It is currently on sale at $49.95. The item number of this pair is 25577321. It fits true to size.
